Notre Dame men’s basketball has been pretty hot over the past couple of years. With the fighting irish winning the ACC tournament championship in 2015, the Legends Classic in 2016 and the Maui invitational in 2017 it just feels right to predict that 2018 will bring the irish home with an NCAA championship.

This Irish team has five seniors, three of which are starters and big contributors for this program. All American Bonzie Colson was the biggest contributor of the three until he broke his foot running up the court in practice a couple of weeks ago. With Bonzie being out for about eight weeks he is looking to come back around the beginning of March possibly giving the Irish that spark back that they need right about now. Martin Geben and Matt Farrell are also dominant seniors for this team and are looking for searching for nothing less than a championship.

This particular Irish team has been to the tournament three out of the past four years not including 2018 obviously. In 2015 the Irish made the elite 8 and same was true in 2016 with yet another elite 8 appearance. 2017 left the Irish with a second round loss but that only means one thing for this determined Irish team. Do better in 2018 and use their tools to secure the 2018 national championship trophy.

The Notre Dame men’s basketball organization is known for always being a hard working group of guys and for never stepping down when they face adversity. Their program is based on strong principles and if they stick to the game plan the fighting Irish can certainly make an underdog run in this tournament.
