Looks like you’ll be headed to Arizona this summer! Located in the Sonoran Desert in Pima County, this destination just northwest of Tucson is known for its incredibly views and one-of-a-kind flora and fauna. The park is named after the hundreds of native Saguaro cacti that populate the territory, which can grow to be up to 60 feet in height. The blends of green and orange that display themselves during the picturesque sunsets here are one-of-a-kind, and it’s sure to be an adventurous escape like no other.

If you’re looking for a trip full of lush green wonder, Olympic just might be the destination of your dreams. Nestled throughout the Pacific Northwest’s Olympic Mountain ranges, the plentiful rainfall this area sees throughout the year brings it some of the most jaw-dropping greenery you may see in your lifetime. Backpacking through these northern rainforests (yes, we said rainforests) is an experience you’ll have a difficult time finding anywhere else in the U.S.

If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful mountain getaway for your summer roadtrip, then the Smoky Mountains of the American South are for you! Running throughout Tennessee and North Carolina, these mountain ranges are known for a number of spectacular natural displays, including gorgeous wildflower blooms and countless streams and waterfalls. Whether your idea of a good time is fishing, hiking, or just enjoying some time relaxing in a mountainside chair, you’re sure to return from this trip rejuvenated -- although we certainly can’t promise that you’ll want to leave.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The infamous Crater Lake (what this National Park is named for) was formed by the collapse of a volcano over 7,000 years ago. Take a walk around Rim Drive, the primary road surrounding the lake, to check out a mixture of island and volcanic perspectives that are truly one-of-a-kind; no matter what the season, we’d say Crater Lake is definitely one of the most photogenic on our list, as well as one of the most unique!

Are you ready to experience the tranquility of the northeast coast? Whether you’re enjoying the local lobster catch in Bar Harbor or checking out the incredible rocky, adventure-stirring coastline, this Maine gem is sure to make for a trip you’ll never forget. Don’t forget to peek out onto the seas’ horizon every now and again -- you might just catch a glimpse of a whale tail waving hello amidst the seabirds!

Acadia National Park

You must love warm weather and tropical sunshine, because you got one of the gorgeous Florida national parks. Abundantly populated with coastal and marine wildlife and mangroves galore, this is the oceanside RV getaway of your dreams. Be sure to check out the Maritime Heritage Trail and Boca Chita lighthouse before you visit this fantastic, high-rated beach!

Biscayne National Park

Located in southern Colorado, this national park consists largely of exactly what it sounds like - some of the most enormous sand dunes you’ll see in the continental United States! With numerous canyons and the Sangro de Cristo mountains winding amidst these incredible sights, you can be sure you’ll never get bored while hiking these trails.

Nestled on an outstretched peninsula of southern Alaska, Katmai is an active volcanic area full of some of the most incredible natural wonders you may ever come across in your lifetime. Covering over 6,000 miles of land, there are countless things to see here, from the healthy population of Alaskan brown bears to the awe-inspiring formations of the Katmai Crater Lake and Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. It may be a long trek from the U.S. to Alaska, but if you’re looking for a longer road trip that’s different from any other U.S. summer vacation, Katmai is where you need to be.

Look no further - the Northwest mountain ranges are where you need to be! Grand Teton isn’t called ‘Grand’ for no reason -- the incredible trails make for world-class backpacking and hiking opportunities, and the photography opportunities are boundless. So whether you start by checking out Jackson Hole or simply fishing by the waterside, pack up that RV and get ready- the great outdoors is calling!
