    Things To Do On Reading Week

    It has been a long and cold semester but reading week is here, which means we have made it through the first half and can only go up from here!     Monday (Feb. 17)

    1. Toronto Pug Grumble

    If you own a pug, wish you had one or love puppies in general, the Toronto Pug Grumble may be your first pit stop for reading week. A bunch of pug owners will be bringing their lovable animals to Trinity Bellwoods park from 2 to 4 p.m. and you have to be there. Find out more here.

    2. Winter Stations at Woodbine Beach

    Starting on the 18th, you can walk along Woodbine Beach and find multiple instalments made by designers competing in an international design competition. They are not only being graded on the creativity of the design but are supposed to withstand the hectic and rigorous winter. More here.

    Tuesday (Feb. 18)

    1. See a movie

    Tuesdays are for discounted movie tickets! If there is a film you have been dying to watch but have not had the time to see it yet, here is your chance. Head to Cineplex and see what movies and showtimes work for you.

    2. Tuesday = Wings Day

    Many restaurants offer deals for wings on Tuesdays. If you feel like stuffing your face with some delicious chicken wings head out to joints such as St. Louis Bar & Grill, Duff's Famous Wings, Wild Wings and more.

    Wednesday (Feb. 19)

    1. For the Potter-heads

    On the 19th, The Rec Room is hosting a watch party for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone! What's better than embracing your inner Hogwartz self, some games, prizes and food? More here.

    2. Evergreen's Winter Wednesdays

    Visit Evergreen Brick Works during the evening for skating on their outdoor rink, hot chocolate, street food and other activities such as Jenga and street curling! More here.

    Thursday (Feb. 20)

    1. Thirsty Thursdays at The Maddy

    At this popular student pub near University of Toronto, you can grab friends and head out for a night of fun and drinks! (Without having to worry about class the next day). On Thursdays, The Madison Ave. Pub hosts 'Thirsty Thursdays' where drinks are $3.09!

    Friday (Feb. 21)

    1. Art At The X

    If you'e an art lover and are up for a glam night, check out Art At The X! This month the edition is focused on Black History Month. You can go check out the art and culture that the exhibit has to offer, all for free. The event is ages 19 + and free admission if you register for a ticket here.

    Saturday (Feb. 22)

    1. IKEA PJ Party

    Yes this is real. If you have ever wandered around IKEA and wondered what it would be like to sleepover there for the night, your wildest dreams may come true. IKEA venues across the city are inviting guests to come in their PJs! Each store will be selecting a few winners and a guest to sleepover at the store location. More here.

    2. Cat Video Fest

    Here you go cat lovers. A whole screening of your favourite furry friends. More here.

    Sunday (Feb.23)

    1. Watch The Oscars

    The 91st Academy Awards will be on TV the night of the 23rd. Grab your favourite snacks and drinks and bet on which of your favourite celebrities will win. If you want to step it up a bit, you can also watch the award shows in a comfy cinema at Hot Docs Cinema for free. More here.
