Did you know that one of the world’s most expensive coffees come from the behind of elephants? Yep, that’s right, the Chiang Rai property by Anantara Hotels, Resort & Spa, who has some of the biggest luxury hotels in Thailand under their name; is one place where you can get Black Ivory, a coffee produced by passing coffee beans through the stomachs of elephants and then picking the beans, from their rear ends. Sounds disgusting, but it’s delicious!

If you love stationery, here’s a great way to be eco-friendly and organized at the same time. Fibre from elephant dung is used to make paper which is then used to create funky paper-based souvenirs such as journals, bookmarks, and jewellery boxes. One of the places that is famous for this is the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka where you will be able to see a number of elephant dung paper shops next to the orphanage.
