    Remembering Avicii

Today we take the time to look at all the amazing work Avicii did in his 28 years of life.

    Remembering Avicii

Today we have lost yet another amazing musician and talent Tim Bergling better know as Avicii. Avicii was born September 8th, 1989 in Stockholm, Sweden. He was a producer/Dj. He worked with many other well known Djs and producers around the world and the news of his passing has been quite devastating for all. Artists like Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons, and Zedd have already shared their heartfelt condolences. He passed today April 20th, 2018 at the age of 28 in Oman a country in the Middle East.

Avicii made amazing songs that have shattered the Billboard Top 100 charts with its inspirational music lyrics and beautifully done music videos to match. His song “Wake me up” and “Hey Brother” have amazing messages and his music reached a wide range of audiences and brought them together. He started making music when he was 18 his very first track Lazy Lace which he posted to his MySpace is one for the history books. Avicii would leak music onto blogs to get recognized and to get his music out there to his luck he was found by his former manager Ash Pournouri. He was even nominated for a Grammy award for his song Sunshine. But it was his 2011 song “Levels” that really brought him to mainstream view. The song “Levels” sampled the song Etta James’ “Something’s got a hold on me” and blew up in the UK. When Avicii hit 2 millions fans on Facebook he released a free song for his fans called 2 million. He then did the same when he hit 3 million.

In recent years he took a year long break from music many people thought he retired and was done with music but he proved us wrong and put out his final EP August 10, 2017 called Avīci (01). Avicii stated on his website “We all reach a point in our lives and careers where we understand what matters most to us”. “For me it’s creating music. That is what I live for, what I feel I was born to do.” The website goes on to say “Last year I quit performing live, and many of you thought that was it. But the end of live never meant the end of Avicii or my music. Instead, I went back to the place where it all made sense – the studio. The next stage will be all about my love of making music to you guys. It is the beginning of something new.”

The reason for Avicii’s death is still unknown but his passing is still tragic nonetheless. Today I hope that Avicii fans worldwide can just come together and enjoy the music he created and help celebrate such a wonderful life, musician and performer. His inventive and unique take on music will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
