The Lannisters and the Wildlings have a bastard child...

We’re just days away from the final season of HBO’s acclaimed show, Game of Thrones. As fans flock to their TV sets this weekend to learn the ultimate fate of Arya Stark, Cersei Lannister, Jon Snow, and the rest of the Westerosi, another storyline has cropped up on the internet.

“For The Throne” is a hilarious new parody that celebrates the seldom mentioned, but equally as important, GoT characters that live in the background of our favorite TV drama. As their YouTube trailer claims, “Watch what happens when ‘Chambermaid 2’ goes #ForTheThrone with ‘Soldier 3’ in this hilarious new comic skit.”

The six part series drops tomorrow on Firework, a hot new app for 30 second, short-form video. Founded by former Snapchat, Linkedin and Warner Bros executives, Firework already has millions of users on the platform, with elevated content from awesome creators like Molly Tarlov, Flo Rida, Cierra Ramirez, Dexter Darden and Dang Matt Smith.

According to Firework, their app is the first to pioneer professional short-form video series, or what they like to call ‘micro-series’. “Until now, short-form video was always limited to user-generated content. We saw this as a real opportunity for Firework to adapt this mobile concept for professional, scripted videos,” said Bryan Barber who joined Firework last month from Warner Bros to lead their PGC efforts.

Their new series, “For The Throne” is a comedy rooted in drama that derives its humor from the dark side of the dark ages. The six part series introduces a hilarious new character, Brett Wild-Thing who claims to be a bastard child of the Lannister and Wildlings families. Created by Luke Dellorso of Upright Citizens Brigade and Director Ryan Curtis, “For The Throne” joins the growing list of original shows that Firework has produced on their app.

“For The Throne” will drop exclusively on Firework (www.FireworkTV.com) starting Friday, April 12.
