Why Aren't More People Talking About "One Day At A Time"?

The Netflix Original series "One Day at a Time" is arguably one of the wokest series of 2018. SPOILERS AHEAD.

A little background information on the show...

At first glance, the show appears to be "just another family sitcom"

The series tackles some pretty socially relevant topics not commonly seen on television. Topics Include...

Diversity, as it applies to the Latinx culture...

    Sexism, specific to genderqueer folk...

And how broken the immigration system is in the U.S.

But what makes this show unique is how it handles the tough topics that are a reality to many people in this world.

One of the most notable topics of the first season is when teenager of the family, Elena, comes out as lesbian.

One of the heavy hitting episodes in season 2 features the topic of gun control and mental health.

But it's not all just serious and heavy situations the Alvarez family finds themselves in.

There's also a little something special for those who appreciate self-reflexive humor.

So, if you are totally into socially conscious content and witty comedy, One Day at a Time is the show for you.

Also, I think it's safe to assume Penelope is a fan of Buzzfeed quizzes.
