When Larissa used her leaf vacuum to clean up the patio, she forgot one important step. “This was completely a real fail. For a whole minute, unknown to me, I was sucking [the leaves] up into the [bag] and it was totally unzipped. And once I realized that...I could not stop laughing. It was hysterical, once I saw the leaves that I had blown all over the patio.”

2. You're suddenly in the mood for pumpkin-flavored everything...

This bear didn’t want to wait until the holidays to get his treat. When Evan woke up to half-eaten pumpkins on his doorstep, he checked the video* from his Ring Video Doorbell to see what had happened during the night. “It was quite a lot [of] laughter when we saw that the bear walked down the front walk of our house to eat the pumpkins,” Evan says. “Ring always provides that little extra bit of comfort, especially with animals like that walking around.”

3. Your morning commute gets muuuuuuch colder.

Since David had to leave for work at 7 a.m. and battle 15-degree weather, while his stay-at-home-mom wife Zima was cozying inside, he figured the least he could do was pretend to give her a hard time in this sarcastic video he left for her on their Ring Video Doorbell*. “I thought it was hilarious and sweet,” says Zima. “And I knew he was joking because we have a really good sense of humor and we always joke around.”

4. Beginning of fall: "It's finally snowing! Yaaaay!"

The forecast for that day in Oklahoma City was snowy with clear skies and lots of smiles! Just watch Sharilyn’s son Ben, when he woke up to this winter wonderland. Sharilyn was glad their Ring Video Doorbell* saved his precious reaction. “It’s been several years since we've had snow like this. When I saw the video, I could not stop smiling,” says Sharilyn. “It was the first thing I saw when I woke up and it was the best start to my day. I'm so glad that moment was captured!”

Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy catching snowflakes. When this bear duo was walking by a Ring Floodlight Cam during a snowfall, one of them stopped and did a little happy dance and the Ring Cam saved this adorable moment on video*.

As Kate walked out of her brother’s house in Lakeville, Minnesota, she heard a loud noise behind her. Luckily, her brother's Ring Video Doorbell was there to help her see what happened*. “I saw all the snow on the ground that apparently fell off the roof. With lots of people coming in and out [and] cars parked in the driveway, it could be something that was dangerous. Now that that's happened and now that we've caught it on camera, we know what to look for and how to prevent it.”

7. Fall is also the perfect time to remember that ice still exists.

Melissa was driving on an icy street when her car decided to take her on a slippery ride with some twists and turns. Luckily, no one was injured and there was no damage to any cars or property. The video, which was saved* thanks to Melissa’s Ring Floodlight Cam, can serve as a reminder for everyone to drive cautiously this winter.

8. Fall also means LOTS of delicious food...which means more potential for epic holiday food fails.

Now that’s what AnneMarie calls a “flaming duck.” She was grilling the duck for Thanksgiving outside when it started to smoke. Her husband quickly sprang into action as soon as he noticed what was happening at the grill. They were glad the action was saved on their Ring Floodlight Cam*: “This was the first crazy thing we caught on our Ring device. When we saw it, we just laughed,” AnneMarie recalls. “No one got hurt. No fire trucks needed. And we still saved the duck! Although a little dry.”

9. Kindness and generosity bloom in the fall because the holidays are just around the corner!

It’s so important to give back during the holidays (or any day, really). In neighborhoods everywhere, people leave out snacks for their delivery drivers to thank them for working so hard, especially during the busiest gift shopping season of the year.

“We are so grateful for our essential workers today and every day!” says Carrie from Hawthorne, New Jersey.

“I just like to leave out treats as a friendly gesture. I know how hard delivery drivers work,” explains Remi from Las Vegas.

“I wanted to show love, kindness, and joy by saying thank you through snacks,” says Sarah from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, adding that “no act of kindness is ever too small.”

10. And best of all: Fall means you get to wear all your favorite cozy outfits again!

When you own a T. Rex costume and a Ring Video Doorbell, you put two and two together. “My brother and sister-in-law were on vacation and my niece Mileena, 4, and nephew Matthew, 2, were staying with my parents,” says Erin, owner of the aforementioned dino suit. “It was a cold, snowy day...so I told my dad to go live on the [Ring Doorbell] so I could entertain [them] for a few minutes and make them laugh.” And entertain she did!

Keep your home and loved ones safe all year around (and maybe capture a hilarious or heartwarming memory or two) with Ring!
