We're sure the hours are long and the research is rigorous... 4. The Guys That Look After the Tower of London's Ravens

The Tower of London's ravens are part of the Norman fortress' furniture, and someone has to take care of them – especially, as legend has it, that six ravens must watch over the castle at all times lest the monarchy fall. That'd be bad. The job's left down to the Tower's Yeoman Warders (better known as Beefeaters), and we hasten to reckon looking after those feathered guys is by far the best bit of the job. Imagine that responsibility: saving the Royals from a curse and getting to play in a big castle.

Oh, it's a tough old life. Imagine if you were paying off your mortgage by raking it in from tasting (and ranking) hundreds of different flavours and variations of ice cream. We reckon the job satisfaction would rank somewhere between the "giddy grin" and "doing cartwheels" area of the spectrum.
