Wierd Secrets About This Beetle
According to new research by Stanford University, the Parochodaes Duplex might be one of the most interesting creatures alive, this is all due to a new property discovered about it. The Parachodaes Duplex has the ability to inject sperm into their frass, this sperm also contains a pheromone which allows female Parachodaes Duplex to find it. A female beetle can then impregnate herself via consuming this frass. This, however, happens rarely, which is good since the resulting beetle children have shown to be more susceptible to various genetic conditions. A theory behind why this trait evolved is that the beetle experienced consistent depopulation which made it hard for beetles to find mates.
