Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About The Kardashians

Keeping Up With the Kardashians (or KUWTK) was first aired in 2007 on the E! cable network. The reality TV show is now in its nineteenth season. Who could have guessed that the show would be so popular when Ryan Seacrest created it?

While the Kardashian sisters Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney and their half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner are the show's main focus, their parents Kris and Caitlyn, and brother Rob along with their various partners, also feature in the show. The Kardashian-Jenner family has shared their clan with the world, revealing more than just style tips over the years. America’s most famous family has also shared family secrets, including breakups, fights, and pregnancies. Here’s all you need to know about the Kardashians.

While Kris and the three Kardashian sisters are all executive producers, Kim is the most invested in shaping the KUWTK story. Surprisingly, Kim’s wedding to Kanye West was not meant to make it onto KUWTK, but they changed their minds when they saw an assistant's Handycam footage. There is also a provision in Kim's will, which states that if she is too sick to take care of herself, somebody must do her hair, nails, and makeup.

Kylie is the youngest of the siblings and a billionaire. In 2019, she was listed as Forbes’s youngest self-made billionaire at 21 and continued to hold the title in 2020 before Forbes revoked it in May. She recently sold a share in her Kylie Cosmetics to Coty Inc. Kylie confessed that she gets her nails done once a week because Kris ingrained it into her and Kendall while growing up.

Khloé only agreed to her spin-off on Lamar’s insistence. They captured their whirlwind romance and marriage on Khloé & Lamar, which spanned two seasons. The show ended in 2012 when they moved to Texas due to Odom’s work commitments. Khloé filed for divorce in 2013.

While many assume that the Kardashian connection is the reason for her success as a model, Karl Lagerfeld had no idea who Kendall was when she started working at Chanel. According to Forbes, the runway star was the highest-paid model globally in 2018 for the second time in a row.

Kourtney, the eldest of Kris’s kids, needed convincing to be a part of the reality show. According to Insider.com, she was camera-shy in season one and said she spent her time crying in the bathroom. Kourtney also confessed that her breakup with Scott Disick was the hardest episode to film.

Rob Rob is best known for his sock line Arthur George, but he also has a few other business ventures. He once had a reality TV show with Blac Chyna called Rob & Chyna, which aired for one season. Season two ran into trouble with news of their breakup.

Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family, is known as the one who came up with the reality show meant to promote her daughters’ DASH stores. Kris is also co-founder of a church, the California Community Church. However, the family does not attend this church, opting for Hillsong instead.

In her memoirs, "The Secrets of My Life," Caitlyn Jenner implies that she thought up the concept behind the reality show and not ex-wife Kris. This has caused somewhat of a family feud.

Lastly, here’s a fun fact. The Kardashians continued filming during the pandemic using a new iPhone each week and capturing the footage themselves, according to their producer Farnaz Farjam.

How do you feel about KUWTK ending?
