10 Reasons I'm Grateful For CG/110

One is six blocks down the other a mile away but what's for sure is that it's worth the walk!

1. Our Residents

We are so lucky to have an incredible group of residents that are an excellent representation of Barnard's diverse and driven student body. Even though they are as busy as the next student, they happily participate in our programs and talk to us about the incredible things they are doing. We have resident who have worked in political campaigns, headed student groups like BOSS, and are valued members of the community as well-woman peer educators, AllSex facilitators, SGA representatives and so much more!

2. Our Awesome Programs

Throughout the Fall of 2016, the CG/110 staff has worked incredibly hard to pull off a ton of incredible events. Showcased here is an awesome flyer made by CG's very own Camila Puig. Hard work by the CG/110 staff members was not only done to come up with creative ideas, but also to advertise events.

3. Our HD

New to Barnard this year, Ah-Young has been an incredible addition to our team! She is invested in us and the residence halls, which is clear through her work ethic and kindness.

4. Our Desk Attendants

The desk attendants at CG (not pictured) and 110 are our extended family and certainly part of our team. It wouldn't feel like home without their friendly smiles and warm conversations.

5. Anna

I am grateful for my wonderful CG/110 staff and for their hard work and support for the last two years. Throughout my role as an RA we have pulled off numerous long nights with CSIs, closing, and trainings, and I cannot imagine making it through without them. Their dedication to the role is one of the most important reasons for why I love this job.

6. Tracey

I am especially grateful for the visiting international student (VISPs) community at 110 (110 is a popular home for VISPs!). In exchange for learning about their wonderful and exciting home countries and traditions, I get to share mine!

7. Evelyn

Evelyn is a shining beam, lighting every room she enter with humor, kindness and so much knowledge! I (Camila) am so grateful to call her a friend, colleague, and team member. Her dedication to the environment, social justice, and women is inspiring to anyone who meets her.

8. Seyi!!

I (Evelyn) am so grateful for Seyi for many reasons - she has endured and supported my with Chem this semester, she always is down to give me a hug, and she has the *best* sense of style arguably on 110th street.

9. Camila :)

I (Evelyn) am also very grateful for Camila! She has worked tirelessly alongside me towards fossil fuel divestment (!!), always had a keen sense of perspective and humor, and reminded me that its ok (even encouraged) to let loose once in a while.

10. Barnard!

I (Seyi) am grateful for the endless memories I've made at Barnard, the people I've met in the safe and supportive community that i get to call my home!
