All hail the supreme leader, Kim Kardashian-West.

Never mix business with pleasure. Whoever said this surely has not met the likes of Kim Kardashian-West. Garnering well over 64 million followers on Instagram alone, she has taken the world by storm and is truly a force to be reckoned with. As per Vogue, Kim has been labelled a "pop culture phenomenon", while Time magazine included her in their list of 2015's 100 most influential people. Whether we love her or hate her, we just have to admit - she is social media royalty. Here are 4 times Kim Kardashian-West slayed the marketing and brand management game.

1. When her derrière graced the cover of Paper Magazine

Kim is never one to shy away from the spotlight and infamously took it to a whole new level by coining the phrase "break the Internet". The risqué magazine cover, by French photographer Jean-Paul Goude, went viral for one very obvious reason - Kim's derrière. It was a smart and cheeky play on her infamous 2013 Instagram belfie (aka butt selfie), featuring Kim's post-pregnancy body.

Many have criticized her for being too revealing; however, having endured the relentless fat-shaming during her pregnancy, we think Kayne sums up our thoughts perfectly. We have to give credit where it's due. Well played, Kimmy!

2. When she got married

How can we forget Kanye's infamous proposal to Kim Kardashian in San Francisco's AT&T Park? The world followed the love birds through their week-long Parisian festivities which eventually concluded with their wedding in Florence, Italy. Needless to say, the most anticipated wedding in 2014 exceeded all expectations and then some. Kimye sealed their wedding vows in front of a wall of white roses, estimated to be worth $136,000. This signature moment gained over 2.4 million likes on Instagram, which became the most liked photo on Instagram since it launched in 2010.

3. When she returned to social media after a 3 month hiatus

She's back! On January 3, 2017, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star returned to social media, with a photo of her family that she posted on Instagram and Twitter. In October, Kim's social media accounts went dark after she was robbed and held at gunpoint in Paris - supposedly costing her an estimated $5.6 million worth of jewelry. Her retreat from social media was a strategic marketing move and a statement in itself. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and Kim certainly left her 135 million combined Instagram and Twitter followers wanting more. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we will settle for 4 million Instagram likes instead.

4. When she clapped back at Trump's "Immigration Ban"

In response to President Trump's controversial executive order banning immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US, Kardashian-West fired back with some cold, hard statistics. Kim made her position on the matter very clear with just one tweet and it has the Internet losing its mind. The chart is self-explanatory and has already gone viral, generating 340,000 likes and 178,000 shares. With nearly 50 million followers on Twitter, Kardashian-West's online reach doubles that of Trump's.
