6 Scenes From "The Office" That Are So Cringe I Don't Think I Can Ever Watch Them Again

6. Michael at Phyllis and Bob Vance's Wedding

Michael spends the whole weekend trying to get more involved in the wedding than he's welcome to. He attempts to crash the wedding photos, and interrupts the ceremony and reception in multiple cringey scenes where he brings up moments from Phyllis's from past. This ultimately leads him to being kicked out of the wedding reception.

5. Cathy Won't Leave Jim's Hotel Room

For the troopers that stuck with it through the final seasons of The Office after Michael left, this one's for you. The Dunder Mifflin staff was sent to Tallahassee for a special Sabre project, which leads to Cathy refusing to leave Jim's hotel room. This makes him very uncomfortable (as seen in the photo). Jim finally gets her to leave by calling Dwight and telling him he has bed bugs.

4. Michael Proposes to Carol

After having a conversation with Kelly's parents at the Diwali celebration, Michael is inspired to pursue marriage with Carol (his realtor) after a few dates. She ends up rejecting his proposal, leading to an obviously cringey experience. 

Fun Fact: Carol is played by Steve Carell's wife in real life and, of all of Michael's love interests throughout the show, she seems to be the one who is least interested in him.

3. Andy Find Out His Girlfriend is in High School

Andy and Jim are sent to a local high school for Dunder Mifflin business and Andy spots his "girlfriend" in the hallway and confronts her. He denies that she's a high school student. All the cringey-ness is seen in Jim who finds the whole scenario very hard to watch (same).

2. Toby Grabbing Pam's Knee

In a rare scene where Toby is able to make the rest of the staff laugh, he, in the most casual way, puts his hand on Pam's knee. The shock can immediately seen in Pam and Jim's eyes, and then Toby makes his grand announcement that he is moving to Costa Rica and hops the fence to leave the office.

In this infamous episode, Michael visits a group of high school students whom he promised to pay college tuition for. He claims he thought he'd end up being way richer when he made the promise. Michael has to tell them, in a very cringey way, that he cannot afford their tuition and offers them computer batteries instead...
