5 Oregon Pride Celebrations To Get Your Queer On.

All across Oregon, celebrations will be taking place to commemorate the LGBTQ communities in the Pacific Northwest. Below are 5 of the many celebrations going on throughout the state, into the year. For more parties and events during Portland Pride, please check out Premiere LGBTQ on Facebook

1. Yachats Pride

From a ‘Gender Tea Kiki’ to local artists Kaj-anne Pepper, and Carla Rossi lip-syncing. Yachats Pride will be celebrating with a wide variety of events for everyone. Starting Friday May 31st and ending on Sunday, June 2nd, there will even be a community BBQ and potluck on Sunday!

2. Hillsboro Pride Party

Pride Party will feature a variety of arts and crafts vendors, live music entertainment, tasty food and beverage options, a plethora of community resources, and all-ages activities. Saturday, 12-7pm on June 1st at Jerry Willey Plaza at Orenco Station Plaza.

3. Astoria Pride

Starting Friday June 7th, swinging through the weekend ending on Sunday June 9th. There will be block parties, parade walks, and yes even a drag queen story time. Check out the Facebook link above.

4. Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade

Starting Saturday June, 15th. Ending Sunday June, 16th. Pride has been held in Portland, Oregon since the mid-1970’s. The Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade is one of the largest Pride celebrations on the west coast, and one of the largest donation-based Pride festivals in the country. Each year, tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ and allied people come together, to celebrate, be visible, and to demonstrate the strength of our community. 150+ local, regional, and national organizations, agencies, and businesses fill Waterfront Park, while amazing LGBTQ+ talent provide amazing entertainment throughout the weekend. Be sure to head down, and nobody will be turned away for lack of funds for the suggested $8 donation to PrideNW.

5. Beaverton Pride

Beaverton’s FIRST EVER pride parade! Pride Beaverton’s day will begin with the pride parade, across from Beaverton City Library in downtown Beaverton at 11am. It will wind its way all around central downtown Beaverton and afterwards, join family and friend’s for a full afternoon of crafters, entertainment, food, and drink.
