Thor: Ragnarok the third installment in the Marvel hero franchise, held its world premiere Tuesday (October 10, 2017) in Hollywood at El Capitan Theatre.
Fans lined the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard hoping for a glimpse of star Chris Hemworth, who launched the role in 2011 with the original Thor and its sequel Thor: The Dark World and appeared in the Avengers films. Making it a challenge for some of the fans to see their "Hero" was the tent that covered the red carpet, no doubt for security reasons in view of the recent tragic events in Las Vegas.
Returning characters in the film include Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, while Cate Blanchett plays a new character, the villain Hela. They all walked the carpet as well as Karl Urban, Jeff Goldblum, Rachel House Clancy Brown, also in the film. The film officially hits theaters Nov. 3. 2017.
