Friends: I'm getting so tired of the 'give Trump a chance' people, the 'maybe he won't be that bad' people, from both sides, all over the news and social media. I can't get behind it. He's had his chance already, and we have seen what is to come.

He named the chief Climate Change denier to head EPA transition. He named the chief Net Neutrality opponent to head FCC transition. We're talking a frightening makeup of Trump's Cabinet: Newt Gingrich as the face of America to foreign nations as Secretary of State, a Goldman Sachs executive to run the Treasury and repeal Dodd Frank, the 74-year-old founder an oil company as Secretary of Interior (or maybe even Sarah Palin), a man that called Hillary Clinton a 'cunt' for Ag Secretary, uber-evangelical Mike Huckabee to head Commerce (or a fellow tax-evading Wall Street billionaire), an Oklahoma oil tycoon to run the Energy Department, an #AllLivesMatter-supporting county sheriff as Homeland Security Chief, the head of Breitbart as Chief of Staff, and Ben Carson to lead the future of America's education? Just let all those sink in. Does Vladimir Putin get a seat at the table? The Russian government already admitted that they were in touch with the Trump campaign. What would Reagan think?

Trump has the key swing vote in the Supreme Court to fill as he basically wishes, which is devastating for Roe v Wade, immigration, healthcare, business, and so much more. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 83, Stephen Breyer is 78, and Kennedy is 80; can you imagine FOUR of 9 Justices named by Trump?

In his first 100 days, Trump has already officially announced repealing the Syrian refugee program, gutting regulations on greenhouse gas emissions at power plants, refusing same-sex couples the right to take family medical leave, and restarting deportation of illegal immigrant children along with deporting 2 million “criminal illegal immigrants” on his first day in office. He's going to repeal Obamacare and strip 20 million Americans of health insurance. He will cut all payments to UN climate-change programs and cut budgets of universities and labs dedicated to studying climate-change. He will cut all federal funding to the places that voted overwhelmingly for his opponent, including New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington, Chicago, Boston, Miami, and 200 other cities that refuse to make criminals of immigrants who have committed no crime other than coming to America to try to make a better life for themselves and their loved ones in Sanctuary Cities, escaping despair elsewhere. He's going to move the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, effectively declaring war between the US and Palestine. No matter what side of that you are on, that's a hell of a thing to do. Better have those Twitter thoughts and prayers ready, Republicans.

And even without any of those things, without any horrifying public policy, as the Nation's Leader Elect, he has said NOTHING to assuage the fears of our most vulnerable minorities, already targeted in public because of the things he said on the campaign trail. OUR LEADER HAS NOT SAID, 'Stop it, we are all Americans and we're in this together, so stop the hate against Muslims and women and the LGBT community and Latinos and Jewish people and people with disabilities because we're all one people', because he cannot, because he doesn't believe it nor does he care as long as he wins. He has done zero to make any effort to change anyone's mind about his rampant misogyny, racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, Islamophobia, and whites-first pride. He has torn this nation in two, and he absolutely loves it.

And please do not forget, he bragged about sexually assaulting women, with many coming forward. How many chances do we give him to address that... because he will not unless he is forced to in court. Please, criminal justice system, we were so happy to target Bill Cosby. Let's not get the Groper-In-Chief-Elect get away with it. And on that note, let's make him spill all his secrets (and his tax returns) in his upcoming Trump U fraud case... being presided over by the same Judge that Trump claimed could not be fair because he was Mexican. Because he has already proved how slimy he is to us... in the bedroom and in the boardroom. Why give him more chances with the fate of the world in the balance?

You're waiting to see what Trump is going to be like? How much more do you need to see? THESE ARE FACTS. I will NOT give him 'a chance' because we have already given him one. Not to be hyperbolic, but how many people said 'Hey let's give Hitler a chance, maybe he's not so bad now that he's Führer, maybe he'll bring the country together now that he's in power and speaks for all people.' I do not know, but we know what came next. No, I don't think Trump is Hitler and I don't think he wants to murder swaths of people. But he might be just as dangerous for the future of our nation, and for the world, with his policies, positions, and beliefs. It's been a year and a half of campaigning and we know who Trump is. It's been two days and it's been confirmed. We've given Trump all the chance he deserves because have seen the future of President Trump, which is now the present, and now is the time for strong, gathered, smart, cohesive, measured, cooperative response NOW. We do not have time to wait, we must act now. How? I do not know, that's for people much smarter than I am.

But we cannot let those smarter people sit back and say 'let's give him a chance to prove us wrong' because our friends and loved ones might not recover from being proved right. They must lead, and help us fight now! Mr. Moore, Mr. Cuban, Mr. Sanders, Ms. Warren... now is not the time for hope, it's the time for action. We can also make America great again, we can also take our country back before it's broken and set back decades. 7 in 10 Trump supporters believe America was better in the 1950s and want that back again. Are you ready, women, Muslims, Latinos, LGBT folks, friends with disabilities, to be like it was in 1950? We must figure out how to keep our voices in the conversation before we have no voice.
