It can be a huge honor when your best friend asks you to be the maid of honor or best man for their wedding. It's also a lot of pressure. And to top it off, there's a speech involved.
It's good to keep it short, clean, and with as few inside jokes as possible, but sometimes, people get weird when they're given a microphone.
So I want to know: What's the most cringe thing you've ever heard in a best man or maid of honor speech?
Were you ever at a wedding where the maid of honor was so drunk that she was firing off insults about her ex-boyfriend, not in attendance, to the entire clueless reception?
Did the best man over-roast the groom and recount all his failed past relationships in great detail, then make fun of the bride and groom for meeting on OkCupid?
Perhaps you were at a wedding where the maid of honor went on a strange tangent about how the groom was her first boyfriend, and how that turning down his then-proposal is what led him to eventually marrying her best friend, the bride.
Maybe the best man started off his speech with, 'For those of you that don't know me,' then went on to describe himself in detail for five minutes before even mentioning the groom.
Or maybe the best man decided during his public wedding toast was the best time to come clean to his best friend, the groom, about the affair he was having with his fiancé, now-wife.
