"As a mom and nurse practitioner, she has what it takes to fight for common-sense policies that grow our economy and give all Arkansans the chance to thrive in their communities. She is dedicated to protecting and expanding all Arkansans’ access to high-quality, affordable health care. Celeste believes that our seniors, many of whom are living on a fixed income, shouldn’t have to choose between food and paying for their medications, she will work to lower drug prices for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.

"Determined to fight for access to education, Candace became involved in local politics and ran for office for the first time in 2017, when she was elected to the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District board as an at-large representative, defeating an 18-year incumbent. Since joining the board, she has been an advocate for greater fiscal transparency and worked to expand STEM education, vocational training, and coding academies in district schools. She has also pushed for funding for school renovations and focused on making sure the district is inclusive and welcoming to students of all backgrounds.
Now, Candace is running to represent Texas’s 24th Congressional District and advocate for all hardworking families. She knows, intimately, the impact when a family can’t afford a place to live or food to eat. She has struggled to afford costly medical bills due to a pre-existing condition. Candace believes we cannot address these issues if our leaders are more focused on appeasing donors and corporate PACs than representing their constituents."

Candace Valenzuela, TX-24

"Voters need know who Gina Ortiz Jones is. She is a tough fighter with the right values for the people of South and West Texas. She grew up in San Antonio on reduced lunch and put herself through college on an ROTC scholarship. Immediately after an overseas deployment with the Air Force she learned that her mother had been diagnosed with cancer. Gina returned home to care for her, getting a first hand experience with our broken health care system. In Congress, Gina will work to make sure that every family has access to affordable medical care.

"- Gina was raised in San Antonio by a hard-working immigrant, single mother from the Philippines.
- Gina, at times, lived in subsidized housing and relied on reduced-price lunches.

Gina Ortiz Jones, TX-23

"Eastman is seasoned at taking conceptual ideas and turning them into tangible actions. She is an expert at bringing people together around a cause and building consensus. With partners like the city of Omaha, the Kresge Foundation, and Children’s Hospital, Eastman developed programs to improve local communities while also reducing government costs. She also has worked as the director of Rainbow House, a domestic violence shelter; helped start Extra Hands for ALS, a national, student-based volunteer program that provided assistance to patients with Lou Gehrig’s Disease; and was the director of Friendship Shelter, a transitional housing program for homeless adults.

"Eastman is a life-long Democrat. In 2018, she won the Democratic Nomination for US Congress and came within 1.9% of unseating the incumbent Republican. In 2014, she overwhelmingly won election to the Board of Governors of Metropolitan Community College (MCC) in Omaha, one of the top ten community colleges in the country, and was elected as Vice Chair of the Board. Under her leadership as Vice-Chair, she strengthened non-discrimination policies, developed contractor training programs that created jobs in the community, and she led the initiative to ban tobacco usage on all MCC campuses."

Kara Eastman, NE-02

"Tricia Zunker is running for Congress to be a voice for the people of northwest Wisconsin – people like the family farmers and working people she comes from, with roots in the Wausau area going back generations.The first in her family to graduate from college, Tricia went on to law school and became a practicing attorney and law professor.  In 2013, she was elected by her People, the Ho-Chunk Nation, to serve as Associate Justice of the Ho-Chunk Supreme Court.  She was re-elected to that position in 2017. In 2018, Tricia was elected to the Wausau School Board and currently serves as board president.  On the school board, she works hard to ensure that all children receive a good education, regardless of background, economic status, or family circumstances.  She is also an advocate for policies that improve staff morale and treat teachers like the professionals they are. From her office in Wausau, Tricia teaches remotely as a professor at three institutions. In each of these academic environments, she works with non-traditional students, helping them achieve their academic goals that would not be possible in a typical brick and mortar setting."

"Abby comes from a working class family in Dubuque County. Her father was a Union Pipefitter Welder, her mother worked for the Dubuque Community Schools. She learned the value of public service and giving back to the community from her family, particularly from her grandfather who was a Lieutenant in the Dubuque Fire Department. Abby is the youngest of four siblings, all first-generation college graduates. She chose to stay in Iowa for college, earning her degree from Drake University, and although she still has over $15,000 in student loan debt she is committed to making our state a place where people of all ages can work hard, get a good education, and have a good life.If elected to Congress, Abby will take the values she learned from her family and her experiences growing up in a blue-collar community to Washington, DC, where she will be the fighter Iowa’s working families deserve."
