Imagine you are walking through the woods on a nice Thursday afternoon with your crush (go you!).
All of a sudden, you two must cross a bridge to get over a quick-moving river. To your surprise, a small troll appears in front of the bridge! He says that if you do not solve his riddle, you two will not be able to use his bridge. Since you told your crush that you are great at riddles (even though you're not), they expect you to take this one on. Are you up to the challenge?
Well, you sort of have to be in this instance, if you want to keep your pride intact and not walk home from the date with wet pants and a "I think I'm going to take a break from dating for a little while" from you crush.
Okay, so here it is:
If each side of a triangle counted as a line, and using the fewest amount of lines possible, how many lines would it take to draw four triangles of similar size?
If you need some clues, here's some help.
The answer ISN'T 12.
The triangles are not stacked on top of each other (you can clearly see each triangle when drawn on paper, for example).
The triangles create another easily-identifiable shape (if drawn correctly).
If you got it right, congrats! You solved the riddle (which made you look hella smart) and walked home with dry clothes, AND a second date!
If you didn't get it right, then whoops, oh well. Try and impress your crush another way I guess?
Maybe you could juggle or something. Ooh! I know! Take them back there again and make THEM solve the riddle!
