When it comes to appreciating the world in which we all live, no other profession paints it clearly with words than the great writers and poet of our time. Here are 5 young authors I believe are trailblazers and worthy of following in 2018.

When it comes to appreciating the world in which we all live, no other profession paints it clearly with words than the great writers and poet of our time. There work echoes in our heart and it helps us gain more understanding of the world we live in. How then can one identify a good writer especially in the internet age? Today, it seems everyone that can blog or comment on the social media has assumed the role of a writer.

In my opinion, a good writer must always connect with their readers. Beyond that, their work must be technically correct, concisely written, beneficial and consistent. Here are 5 young authors I believe are trailblazers and worthy of following in 2018.

Suresh & Jyoti Guptara

They are called the Guptara twins, born to an Indian father and British mother in Surrey England. At age 11, the Guptara twins surprised the world with the first draft of the famous “Insanity Saga”. This famous book wasn’t published until the twins were age 17. This was attributed to several rewrites and revisions required to get the book up to a publishable standard. In 2008, they were listed among the “100 Most Important Swiss” on Schweitzer Illustrate annual list. Apart from writing, the twins also engage in creative consulting for research institutions.

R.R. Noall

R.R. Noall is a poet and creative writer known for her poetry collection “Play On Words”. “Play On Words” is Noall’s debut poetry collection and it’s a thought-provoking short quick read that is beginning to become a favorite of poetry lovers. A native of Cleveland, Rachel Noall wrote an essay about her love of words while in college. Since then, writing became a hobby and career aspiration for her. In the summer of 2016, Rachel began to write, and since then, her work has been featured in numerous publications.

Pierce Brown

Pierce Brown devoted a decade of his life to science fiction and screenwriting. One of his notable work is the Red Rising series which had sequels from 2014 up to 2018. He was born in 1988 to a middle-class parent. Prior to his hit selling piece titled Red Rising he had authored 6 other novels that were totally rejected by over 120 agents. The Red Rising was ranked #20 on The New York Times Best Seller list after receiving numerous positive reviews.

Tea Obreht

Tea Obreht is an award-winning American writer widely known for the popular novel, The Tiger’s Wife. This was her debut novel. According to Obreht, The Tiger’s Wife is a saga about how doctors grapple with death during the Balkan war. The novel won the British Orange Prize for Fiction in 2011, and she was a finalist in U.S. National Book Award for Fiction in 2011. Writing remain one of her first love and she definitely worth watching out for in 2018.

Anthony Marra

A Constellation of Vital Phenomena won the inaugural John Leonard Prize, an Anisfield-Wolf Book Award, and the French Grand Prix des lectrices de Elle. He is known to surprise his readers with breathtaking books and 2018 is not written off.
