Everyone's Talking About Phillipa Soo's Breathtaking Performance In "Hamilton," And Here's Why

Eliza's gasp at the end absolutely destroyed me.

Hamilton has officially hit Disney+ and TBH, suddenly I've reverted to obsessing over this musical like it's 2015.

But one thing that has hit me harder than ever before is Phillipa Soo's mesmerizing performance as Eliza.

Phillipa Soo's single tear in "It's Quiet Uptown" that emotionally wrecked me. That's it. That is the tweet #Hamilton #HamilFilm

From the absolutely flawless way she portrays Eliza's desires in "Helpless" to her heartbreak in "Burn," it's simply iconic.

Also, I don't think I've ever been so moved by moments in a musical as I was watching Eliza's scream after Philip's death and her final gasp at the end.

Like me, the rest of the internet feels the same way about Phillipa's performance as Eliza and how they can't stop thinking about it. Here are some of the best reactions:

just a reminder that the gasp eliza makes at the end of β€œwho lives, who dies, who tells your story” is her seeing the audience and realizing that her husband’s story was carried on #Hamilton
