Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has officially hit theaters and TBH, I loved every second of it.
But one of the things I can't stop thinking about is a simple hair tie.
Okay I am obsessed with #BirdsofPrey overall, but nothing brought me greater joy than the small moment when Harley shared her hair tie! A true mark of female friendship 🖤
In Birds of Prey, Harley ends up joining forces with Huntress, Dinah Lance, and Renee Montoya in order to protect Cassandra Cain from Roman Sionis.
Everything culimates in a big fight scene where Harley and the Birds of Prey are fighting Sionis's men.
In the middle of battle, Harley notices that Dinah's hair keeps getting in her face.
So, Harley hands Dinah a hair tie — it's such a small moment, but it's a scene that solidifies their friendship.
According to director Cathy Yan, this moment came from a conversation with writer Christina Hodson — she said, "I put my hair up for anything. I put my hair up to wash my face; I'm certainly going to do it to fight some bad guys."
