There are SPOILERS ahead for Barbie!
Greta Gerwig's Barbie is finally here and, as predicted, it's THE movie of 2023. As of right now, the movie has grossed $400 million worldwide in less than a week, and it was the biggest debut ever for a film directed by a woman.
Starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, and so many more amazing actors, the movie follows Barbie (Robbie) as she decides to venture to the Real World from Barbie Land.
While the movie has so many hilarious moments — like Ryan's Ken singing "Push" by Matchbox Twenty — a lot of people are leaving the movie crying, as Greta ends the movie with several important commentaries on womanhood and the relationship between mothers and daughters.
One of the most emotional scenes comes when Gloria (Ferrera), Sasha (Ariana Greenblatt), and Allan (Michael Cera) return to Barbie Land to help Barbie, who is having an "existential crisis," according to Weird Barbie (Kate McKinnon).
Barbie ends up telling Gloria that she doesn't think she's pretty anymore, and this ultimately leads into Gloria's big monologue. Out of the whole movie, I think this moment from Margot was, truthfully, award-worthy, and I loved it so much.
The still of Margot sobbing quickly went viral on Twitter as people were captioning the image with some A+ commentary relating to real-life things, TV, movies, and A LOT of Taylor Swift lyrics.
