Updating Your College Style: The Plaid Blazer

How a plaid blazer can add massive value to your wardrobe.

An introduction to your graduated style

As a young professional, I feel a great wardrobe can really help you get ahead and help add confidence. We all had that navy blazer in college, but you've graduated and it time for your wardrobe do to the same. Let's take a look at why you need to add a plaid blazer to your wardrobe this fall.

This slim, brown plaid Italian-cotton blazer from Banana Republics Fall 2017 line is the perfect example of what you should look for in your patterned blazer. What I really love about this piece is how soft the cotton is. In addition to that the more casual patch pockets, paired with a lightly padded shoulder give the blazer an overall more relaxed look and feel. As a younger guy in either college or recently graduated this is a great way to step up your style without appearing to be trying to hard. This is ideal for more casual office settings or a night out on the town.

To go even a step more casual try something like this; a smart leather trainer, gray henley and some light khaki trousers. This look is perfect if you work in a more casual environment and want to be a touch more comfortable or even a date. Check out the video I did below for more thoughts on this blazer!
