We Got The Pink Sauce All Wrong, And Now I Feel Kinda Bad

Did we diss on Chef Pii too much?

By now, everyone knows what The Pink Sauce is. It's the sauce that kills people and changes color. Nobody in their right mind would step near Pink Sauce, nevertheless eat it, but that's what Ann Reardon did.

Ann Reardon is the creator and founder of popular cooking and debunking channel "How To Cook That". She makes incredible cakes and desserts, but she went viral after debunking 5 minute crafts cooking videos. Now, she has a whole series of debunking, and last week, she took a crack at The Pink Sauce. However, she is not debunking The Pink Sauce here, she is debunking those who debunked it.

So, Ann Reardon is taking a look at all the claims against Chef Pii to find which ones are true or false, and trust me, it will surprise you.

SHIPPING PROBLEMS: TRUE While the first batch was sent out, it was sent in thin plastic packaging, which caused some bottles to burst. While it was fixed very quickly, and moved to boxes, it still happened

NUTRITION LABEL: TRUE The serving size was incorrect, using angel numbers instead of real serving sizes, the ratio of all fats to total don't add up, nor the sugars to carbohydrates. And finally, she added 47 extra calories to the nutrition label? Girl that last one don't even make sense.

INCONSISTENT COLOR: TRUE It's not looking good for Chef Pii, and it's definitely not the lighting. There wasn't any explanation the the color change, but it still seems to happen.

CHEF PII NOT A CHEF: FALSE Even though Chef Pii never went to culinary school, she is a certified mixologist and private chef. As Ann says, there is no credification to tell someone they're a chef, unlike for a doctor or nurse

THE RECIPE IS FAKE: FALSE Many people have claimed there aren't any emulsfiers to make the oil and water creamy, and it has to be made with mayo, but Ann actually tested the recipe with just the ingredients, and pitaya (dragonfruit) actually emulsified with the water and oil, and made it creamy and pink, without effect its taste. The sauce winded up tasting quite nice, according to her.

And Finally, PINK SAUCE KILLS: FALSE While there were many reports of pink sauce giving others botulism, or even killing a little girl, they were all third party, and she could not find any real reports from hospitals, credible sources, or people. Also, she found that there is not enough garlic in the sauce to give someone botulism

So there you have it! You may feel bad for Chef Pii now, since people capitalized on her one mistake and made her look like a monster. While she can work to make Pink Sauce better, Chef Pii deserves some respect. Be sure to watch more of How To Cook That, and check out the video here!
