You have spent ample amounts of time on sports, television, and baked goods. Here's something that will stretch your analytical side. Try to learn how to solve a standard Rubik's cube!

Perhaps you've already spent the quarantine learning how to draw or learning to play a new instrument, and you're looking for a new hands-on challenge. Here's something to flex your fingers and test your patience. Embroidery! Though it takes time and attention to detail, you will undoubtedly be proud of your final product.

Let's start small, shall we? Before we graduate to the realm of acoustic or electric guitar and flex those bar chords, lets start with the four-stringed ukulele. It's easy to buy a cheap one online and get started right away! Soon you'll be the one playing "I'm Yours" and "Hey Soul Sister" at all the masks-on, socially distanced campfires.

Whether it's the classic banana bread or a new healthy muffin recipe, you can never go wrong with learning a new baking recipe. Not only will you have fun gathering the ingredients, measuring the portions, and watching/smelling with satisfaction while your creation bakes in the oven, but you will undoubtedly be the new favorite person in your household.

The Emmy's are freshly behind us, and that only means one thing! Time to pick a new television show to binge watch and consume all of our waking hours. While this may not be the most "productive" new pastime, it certainly will bring you joy and entertainment. Might I recommend Fleabag and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel?

If you're like me, then a lot of your social media advertisements these days have been consumed by time-lapses of acrylic pour art, colorful watercolors, and tie-dye how-tos. Painting and tie-dye is a fun activity that can be done socially distanced in an outdoor setting with friends, and will create fun products that you can all admire for years to come. For an added twist, you could challenge your friend group to try to paint or draw one another!
