How To Succeed In College And Other Assorted Tips To Life

Here is a collection of some of the wisdom I have gained from my 4 years at the University of Kentucky. Learn from me.

Go to Professor's Office Hours

Even if you don't have any questions about the class, building those connections early on will really pay off in the long run when you need letters of recommendation.

Go to the Johnson Center

The Freshman 15 is very real. Going to the Johnson Center is a great way to get ahead of that. Its also a good place to meet new people and have fun.

Put in the work for your classes

College classes are different than high school. The responsibility is more on you to make sure you're keeping up and understanding what's going on.

You'll mess up in class at least once

It happens to everyone, don't stress about it. Just stay focused and be sure to ask your professor if you have any questions.

Ask for help

Its not a sign of weakness. There are lots of resources on campus such as the Study and various major specific learning centers that are there to help people succeed!

Get involved!

There are tons of different clubs and organizations on campus. Get involved early with the ones that interest you, its a great way to make lots of new friends.
