5 Things Incoming Freshman Should Know

College can be very daunting. Here are a few things for incoming freshman in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Kentucky to keep in mind to have the best possible experience.

1. Talk to Your Professors

Professors are people too. They can help you with the class, letters of recommendation, and planning out the rest of your life. Go to their office hours!

2. Go to Class

It seems obvious, but it is very important to go to class. Some class may not have mandatory attendance but you should still go anyways!

3. Make Friends

Get involved early and often. Build connections with everyone you can to make your college experience the best that you can!

4. Ask for Help

If you need help for anything, ask for it! The campus is full of very helpful people who want to see you succeed and do well. The Study has many tutors available in many different disciplines.

5. Have Fun!

College can be stressful, but don't forget to have fun here! UK is a great college and you can have the time of your life here. Enjoy it!
