This iPhone Feature Is A Shortcut To All Of Your Most-Used Settings

Now you'll see a little black square on screen that you can move around. Press it to access your new virtual home button.

If you want to access mute, press the Assistive Touch button > Device > Mute.

It works just as the physical home button would.

For example, when it is pressed and held, Siri is activated. If you double tap it, you'll see the multitasking window with all recently opened apps.

And one more thing! You can *customize* the actions in the menu.

Go back to Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch > Customize Top Level Menu. My favorite set up is: Rotate Screen, Mute, Screenshot, and Home.
