In charge of all the democratic runnings of the Union. By-laws and the Constitution makes you weakthe the knees and you love democracy, protocol and policy. Student engagement keeps you up at night and youre always concerned about opinions. You're happiest chairing a trustee board or getting people to vote in referendums! You love the Union in all its commercial glory and want to make sure it's performing to the best of its capacity.

President

You probably know academics on a first name basis and they dread you knocking on their office. You know students are the most important part of university, and that their education must come first. You confuse people with long acronyms and intense Higher Education policy, but are always there to hear a student out. You come up with rational solutions and can negotiate around any scenario. People think your interests are boring but you don't care because you'll change the world one day.

Education Officer

People think your soft and cuddly, but you're a fighter when you have to be. From rogue landlords, to cuts in mental health services, you're ready to take on anyone for students. People come to you with problems and you love giving them advice. You're the friend that makes sure everyone is having a good time and everyone is enjoying themselves. You carry tissues, paracetamol and contact cleaner with you, just incase. You're loyal and committed to helping people. If someone's in trouble, you're there for them, no questions asked.

Welfare Officer

Often overlooked as a sports sabb, you know Activities is where its at. Students may come to uni to study, but they stay because of sports clubs and societies. You're probably on committee of 3 different societies, write for the Spark and part of 30 facebook groups. You're always organising events, matches, socials or showcases and your room is probably full of equipment, RAG buckets and society hoodies. Your mates don't know how you have enough hours in the day, but you always find time. You love meeting new people and having fun. You work best when with a team and love finding solutions to all problems.

Activites Officer

Injustice makes your blood boil. You stand up for the little guy and are not afraid to state your thoughts. You know that uni is different for everyone, and just want everyone included. You are great at listening to people. You've had debates about structural inequality before breakfast. You make no judgments on people, and just want to ensure everyone is participating, be it in a group project or on a night out. You love Reading for its diverse campus, and want to make sure the union is supporting all students. You probably volunteer and have been on marches and rallies.
