7 Famous Movie Cars Redone As Pixar Characters

As everyone knows, those geniuses at Pixar can take any object -- a bug, a fish, a mouse -- and animate it to make it look human, with a voice and a personality to match. And of course, don't forget cars. Pixar's 2006 "Cars" was the studio's first movie to star entirely inanimate objects, and the gamble paid off with a booming box office, Lightning McQueen lunchboxes and pup tents, and kids clamoring to see the movie fix, six, twenty times. "Cars 2" is about to hit theaters, but we're hungry for even more anthropomorphic vehicles -- and so we started wondering what other cars Pixar could animate (maybe for the next sequel?). What would the Landspeeder from "Star Wars" look like in a Pixar movie? Or "Transformers" scallywag Bumblebee? Our friend Old Red Jalopy heard our plaintive cry, and supplied us with seven famous movie cars reimagined as Pixar characters.

But seriously, Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal event promises to be the stuff of fairy tales, so we figured why not take a look back at the dreamiest matrimonial moments in movies -- from "Gone With the Wind" to "Princess Bride" to "Mamma Mia!" -- pieced together in one beautiful, ceremonial video. (And besides, two of our own are getting married this year, which, you know, is almost as important…) NextMovie presents the ultimate wedding movie mashup.

Hooter Girls Predict the Oscars

Sure, you can refer to actual experts when seeking out predictions for this weekend's Oscars, but where's the fun in that? Will the experts bring you beer and fried appetizers in between sizing up the major races? Will the experts come scantily clad and impossibly cheery? Will the experts make a passionate argument against the Academy's snubbing of "The Bounty Hunter"? Logic clearly on his side, NextMovie editor Kevin Polowy hit up Hooters to ask the amiable wait staff for their picks at this Sunday's Oscars. Prepare your ballots.

7 Movie Franchises Get Disneyfied

You know your movie studio’s in good shape when a film grossing over $100 million is widely considered a failure, as was the case with Disney’s 2009 tentpole release, “The Princess and the Frog.” Disney not only knows how to make good movies, they know how to market them. Their releases offer that unmistakable Disney look and charm that gives us those elusive warm and fuzzies. We imagine what seven other big movie franchises would like if they created by the Mouse House. Including Twilight, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and even Saw. Link: NextMovie
