Meet Apple & Juice. SQUEEEE! How adorable?! Just look at those kitten bellies.
Apple and Juice are a 9-week old brother and sister duo currently up for adoption at Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS). They have the most adorable story, but it starts out a bit rough. Apple & Juice were found abandoned and brought to BARCS at just 4 weeks old. They both had severe eye infections and went to live with a foster until they were healthy and big enough for adoption.
2 days after they were brought in, Juice's eye infection became much worse and the decision was made to remove his eye.
Meanwhile, Apple battled her own eye infection with a variety of medications and unfortunately, lost much of her sight; however, she was able to keep her eyes and is pain free today.
Ironically, Juice is now the "seeing eye cat" for Apple.
When Apple gets disoriented or feels lost in her foster mom's house, she cries out. Juice, the good kitty brother he is, runs to Apple and helps her find her place.
This bonded pair is looking for their forever family!
Juice is the leader of the pair. He loves to play and LOVES to eat. When you call for Juice he chirps and comes running. Apple is an independent little girl. She loves to be scratched on her back and purrs like an machine. These two are also known to chase their puppy sister around the house!
