As you've likely heard by now, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have reportedly broken up after six years together. So, if you're struggling to wade through all the info out there, here's what we know so far.

Entertainment Tonight was the first to report on the split, saying that it actually occurred a few weeks ago. "It was not dramatic," a source told ET of the split. "The relationship had just run its course." People, Page Six, and CNN then confirmed the breakup.

Following the breakup reports, the celebrity gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi posted a tip saying that Taylor and Joe were allegedly married and that she was now seeing someone older. A source told Page Six that both of these things were false and that Taylor is very much single.

As for why the couple chose to split, sources point to it being amicable. "Taylor and Joe are in totally different places in their lives right now," a source told ET, noting that it was "more of Taylor's decision" to end things. "They had been together for such a long time and were spending so much time together, but their personalities were just too different. Joe is more introverted, shy and quiet."

Sources echoed those sentiments to People, with one claiming that they weren't the "right fit" for one another. "Joe has struggled with Taylor's level of fame and the attention from the public," said a source. "The differences in their personalities have also become harder to ignore after years together. They've grown apart."

"They had plenty in common and fell in love in a safe bubble while she was retreating from the world during Reputation," the source added, referring to her 2017 album. "Then the pandemic hit, and they were locked down together and able to continue growing their relationship in this insulated way. But he didn't really 'know' her yet outside of that bubble." That being said, the two seem to be on good terms, according to the source.

Both Taylor and Joe have kept their relationship incredibly private, so it's unlikely that we'll hear anything directly from either of them for some time. Some fans have pointed to Taylor swapping "Invisible String" (a song widely believed to be about her relationship with Joe) for the breakup song "The 1" on her Eras Tour as a sign of their split, but the change in song could have been for a myriad of reasons.

Taylor was spotted last night in New York City having dinner with her collaborator Jack Antonoff, wearing a pair of bedazzled butterfly jeans. As for Joe, he's reportedly filming a movie in Hungary.

Taylor's next tour date is April 13 In Tampa, Florida.
