TikToker Mikayla Nogueira Addressed Negative Comments Surrounding Her Wedding

"It was really disheartening that so many people had so much to say about my wedding before even I could say anything."

Mikayla Nogueira addressed a ton of "juicy questions" after her wedding last month.

If you follow the beauty TikToker, you may have noticed that she married partner Cody in a ceremony in Rhode Island a month ago. In a series of new TikToks, Mikayla said that she was "so happy" and that she "didn't even know this level of happy could exist."

However, she noted that she was told after the wedding not to go on the app or google herself — which she said she adhered to, but that she had "been told what has been said." Turning her attention to some of the speculation surrounding the day, she said, "Absolutely none of my wedding was sponsored."

Part of the sponsorship rumors stemmed from a "kissing booth" branded with Mikayla's Elf lip kit. She explained, "This had nothing to do with Elf. I paid for this and the whole wedding myself. I actually had to ask Elf for permission to put their logo on the kissing booth. I don't think you understand how much it means to me to work with Elf."

She further denied that her wedding was for influencers or a "brand trip," adding, "My wedding was 175 people. 10% of that was influencers. The reason why it seemed like it was all influencers is because the only people posting on TikTok are influencers. My grandma isn't making a TikTok about my wedding."

"Next question, and I love this one: 'Did she have an accent at her wedding?' Are you for real? I'm not answering that shit. Obviously, I have an accent. The things people care about, I just don't comprehend," she continued.

While Mikayla emphasized that none of the online negativity took away from her post-wedding bliss, she did say that she took a step away from the app as a result: "It was really disheartening that so many people had so much to say about my wedding before even I could say anything. I understand if you don't like me, I get it, but it was my wedding day. I only have this day once in my life, and to see so many people trying to destroy it was really sad."

When someone commented on one of the update videos suggesting she was on Ozempic, she replied, "This is, like, such a thing dude on TikTok. Anybody makes a video, 'You're on Ozempic.' Like, the video could be about anything. My video has nothing to do with my weight, my body, nothing. 'Ozempic!' I literally can't. It's everywhere bro. It's all I see."

"No, I am not on Ozempic," she added. "I've never been on that, and I won't ever go on it. So, I don't know what — what does that have to do with anything?"

    There we have it!
