Now, Tobey and Leo have been friends since the latter was 12. In fact, their friendship began after young Leo recognized Tobey walking down the street (they'd both done the same auditions) and got his mom to stop the car. He told Esquire in 2014, "I was like, 'Tobey! Tobey! Hey! Hey!' And he was like, 'Oh, yeah — I know you. You're...that guy.' But I just made him my pal. When I want someone to be my friend, I just make them my friend."
That being said, the matching necklaces may be less surprising to you if the words "pussy posse" mean anything to you. Yes, "pussy posse" refers to the group the men had (have?) with fellow actors like Lukas Haas and Kevin Connolly, originating in the mid-'90s. Apparently, magician David Blaine was also part of the posse at one point. A 1998 New York magazine profile of Leo refers to the posse as "Leo’s pack" who "used to see each other at auditions all the time" — turning competitors into friends.
However, the pussy posse is no more — at least, not by name. After the 2016 Oscars, where Leo finally won his Best Actor award, one partygoer told the New York Daily News, "They (apparently) called themselves ‘the Wolf Pack.'
