    In a tweet, Jason wrote, "She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be."

    The news may come as a bit of a surprise, given that yesterday, Jena wrote on Instagram for the duo's shared birthday, "You are the most handsome, hardworking, talented, silly, loving human ever. You truly make me whole and I’m so grateful for the love we share."

    The Cats actor and the model met at the gym shortly before the pandemic. The couple welcomed their first child together, also named Jason Derulo, back in May of this year.

    Jena was pretty regularly featured on Jason's TikTok page, where they'd do challenges and skits of sorts.
