Here's What The People From "Tiger King" Have Been Up To Since The Show Was Filmed

The cast got together remotely for a new special.

Of course, you probably know by now that people are super into Tiger King. Well, it looks like Netflix certainly knows this too — because a new episode just dropped.

A few faces are missing: Joe Exotic (who is still in prison), Carole Baskin, and Doc Antle. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of interesting updates from the eight that we do hear from.

The special kicked off with Erik Cowie, who is still the head keeper at G.W. Zoo.

Erik hasn't seen the documentary, but said he probably should to understand the "me-mes, or memes." Unsurprisingly, he has been recognized in public since the documentary hit Netflix.

Next we saw Lauren and Jeff Lowe, who own G.W. Zoo — which is currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

They woke up early to watch the whole series and weren't necessarily thrilled with their portrayal. "They tried to sensationalize a story a little to give it a villain," commented Jeff.

Oh, and apparently the nanny they hired is working out well for them.

Then there's John Reinke, G.W. Zoo's former manager. He said that he hasn't been in contact with Joe Exotic.

Even a global pandemic cannot stop people from coming up to John in public.

John's divorce proceedings have been put on hold because of the coronavirus, but he has a new girlfriend and it seems to be going very well.

Next we heard from Saff, the zookeeper who lost an arm to a tiger. Saff has also been recognized a lot in public, starting with a late-night trip to Walmart.

Joel asked Saff if he was upset by being misgendered on the show, to which he replied, "I didn't really pay it any mind."

Then we heard from Joshua Dial, Joe Exotic's campaign manager from when he ran for governor.

Josh wants to raise enough money to pay for therapy to help him deal with watching Joe's ex-husband, Travis, shoot himself. Once he's stable, he hopes to return to campaigning.

Next we heard from John Finlay, Joe's ex-lover. For one thing, he looks totally different.

John said that he has been clean since the birth of his daughter, who is now almost 5 years old.

Finally, we heard from Rick Kirkham, the other filmmaker featured in the series.

Unfortunately, Rick has started having more nightmares about the zoo since the show aired.

However, he now has a new wife and lives in Norway — where the show is also very popular.
