Lady Gaga Handled Her Oscar Snub With The Utmost Poise, While I — And Little Monsters Everywhere — Am Crying, Screaming, And Throwing Up

Pah! She already has her Oscar anyway.

While Lady Gaga may not have a few choice words for the Academy — for snubbing her performance as Patrizia Reggiani in House of Gucci — I most certainly do.

Ms. Gaga did NOT put her entire Gagussy in this film to get snubbed! 

However, and unfortunately, that is neither here nor there, as I have exactly negative influence over the awards committee. But unlike how Gaga's character would have done, the actor-singer handled her snub with the utmost elegance.

She already has an Oscar anyway, and industry awards ceremonies are decomposing as we speak! Almost as if...the two are...related...much to think about.

In an Instagram post, the 35-year-old praised the impeccable hair and makeup team behind the Ridley Scott movie and offered words of encouragement to the Best Actress nominees.

"I could not be happier for a man I call my brother, who I’ve worked with for the last 15 years, @fredericaspiras, for his nomination in Makeup & Hairstyling for House of Gucci," she wrote, accompanied by a photo of her with the hairstylist.

"Frederic was magical, precise, and dedicated months leading up to shoot and during filming," she continued. "He prepared dozens of wigs for months and months, and did at least a year of preparation. He’s a living genius and Freddie, we are all so grateful to just even be near your talent, creativity, and generosity of spirit. You continue to show your artistic DNA, your plan, your vision, and your deep connection to your family that drives you to excellence at all times. I love you, I’m rooting for you."

Gaga then showered the Best Actress nominees — Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), Kristen Stewart (Spencer), Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter), Penélope Cruz (Parallel Mothers), and Nicole Kidman (Being the Ricardos) — with her congratulations.

"And to all the nominees this year, congratulations on all your hard work, dedication, your nomination and YOUR magic — you all deserve major recognition for what was a truly beautiful landscape of performances and accomplishments this past year," she shared.

In concluding her caption, she added, "Your dedication during COVID, your huge hearts, and your ability to tell amazing stories is a gift to the whole world during what is for many a very hard time. Congratulations my friends. Bravo!"

Yes, I did read the "Bravo" the same way Gaga delivers it in the movie.

Well, there you have it. Lady "House of Grace" Gaga has moved on to better things (Academy, Shmademy, right?!), and we should too.
