7 Easy Cleaning Tips You'll Actually Want To Try

Small things you can do when there's no time to ~deep clean~.

    1. Pull all the hair out of your brushes, then clean your brushes with warm water and baking soda.

    2. Dust the top of your furniture and cabinets, then put down a layer of wax paper to catch dust in the future.

    3. Steam-clean your microwave with lemon juice, water, and a sponge.

First microwave the lemon juice and water, then wipe with a sponge. (You could also substitute white vinegar for the lemon juice). Watch the full video here.

    4. Sprinkle baking soda on your couch (or fabric chairs), let sit for about half an hour, then vacuum it all up.

    5. Run white vinegar through your coffee maker or Keurig to descale and clean it.

Sure it'll smell funny for a little bit, but after you run water through it a couple times the smell will go away — and your coffee will taste better! Get the tutorial for cleaning a coffee pot here, and the tutorial for cleaning a Keurig machine here.

    6. Switch out your sponge for a new one, then use an oversized binder clip to let it air dry every time you're done using it.

    7. If it's been three months or more since you replaced your contact lens case, swap it out for a new one.
