1. Combine crayons and candle wax in cheap chocolate molds to make custom birthday cake candles.

Although maybe just stick to using a few instead of dozens on top of your cake. You will need to pick up crayons, microwaveable candle wax, candle wicks, and candy sticks before attempting this project (and read the tutorial so you stay safe and don't burn yourself).

2. Pick up a few basic ingredients, then make as many bath bombs as you want on the cheap.

You'll want to make sure the frame is sturdy enough to support a piece of wood like this, and that the top is secure enough to the frame so it doesn't fall apart — as in, read the tutorial, don't just try to balance a piece of wood on top of an unstable frame. If you don't have a spare piece of wood around, you could use a cutting board that fits the top of the frame (and use it in the kitchen, too).

4. Create your own Mancala set by gluing together a bunch of leftover lids from jewelry gift boxes.

You could also cut up a couple of egg cartons and paint them, or buy the lids from the craft store (you can get a set of 16 lids for $8.19 here).

5. Glue a strip of wire to an earring back for minimalist earrings that only look expensive.

Don't try to do this without the needle-nose pliers to hold the earring back while you glue on the wire — if you try to use your fingers instead, you will drop it and you will superglue your fingers together.
