Frances Ha tells the story of Frances (Greta Gerwig) and her millennial, delayed coming-of-age at 27. It's the female-friend love stuff of Broad City before Broad City became a thing. Male romance isn't what troubles Frances, it's the distance created between she and her close friend when she moves out.

Witty one-liners and playful interactions that will have you rewinding and re-watching in no time.

Tessa Thompson, who may be one of the best emerging actresses out there right now, offers a stirring performance alongside Lilly James who portrays a struggling mother trying to get back into school. Both women are broke, and take matter into their own hands when the going gets rough.

This may seem a somber choice for "binge-worthy." But there is something about the honesty in both these characters that will make you want to revisit.

7. Wild

Cheryl Strayed (Reese Witherspoon) takes it upon herself to tackle the Pacific Crest Trail like a rite of passage to start anew after divorce and loss.

What makes it binge-worthy?

Watching Reese tackle such a huge foe becomes engrossing, and the story beautifully unfolds organically in and out of the past through the use of editing. Watching it is a therapeutic experience.

8. Kiki's Delivery Service

Kiki's Delivery Service delivers (*wink*) all the stuff of a great coming-of-age story. In the 1998 American version it features Kirsten Dunst as the voice of Kiki, a witch who leaves home to start her future. She taps into her flying ability as a means to make a living. Along the way she must figure out what it means to be resilient as the outside world pressures her to lose the things she once held dear.

What makes it binge-worthy?

This story has all the Disney magic in it. It will make laugh, cry. It's a story every girl can relate to.

Girl's Trip is one of those movies that does a great job showing off the diversity of character in a group of gals - from the conservative to the crazy. It features iconic moments like Tiffany Haddish talking crazy, and all the girls dancing at a club together with wigs.

It's the ultimate girl movie to prep you for a night in NOLA! Bottoms up!

No, it's not a good movie, per say. This one is on this list because everyone needs to spice up their lives! Every boy and every girl! The people of the world!

What makes it binge-worthy?

It's fun 90s nostalgia, and you can booty dance along with your girl to what is more a glorified music video than a movie. Plus, they swore that they are giving you everything, all that love could bring.
