My palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy because I just found out Eminem's kids are all grown up and getting married.
It seems like yesterday that I was listening to "Mockingbird" in my brother's red Honda Civic — Eminem singing to little Hailie Jade and Alaina Marie Scott. "Hailie, I know you miss your mom, and I know you miss your dad/ When I'm gone, but I'm tryna give you the life that I never had," Eminem raps.
"Lainie, uncle's crazy, ain't he? Yeah, but he loves you, girl, and you better know it/ We're all we got in this world, when it spins, when it swirls/ When it whirls, when it twirls, two little beautiful girls."
Well, they're no longer "two little beautiful girls." They're two grown adults living their best lives, and it makes me feel really old.
On June 12, 30-year-old Alaina shared an Instagram post showing she's now happily married to Matt Moeller. "June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life," the caption read. "In this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours. 🌹"
Alaina was dressed in a beautiful mermaid gown by Katerina Bocci with a headband and long veil. The groom donned a classic white tuxedo jacket and black bow tie.
In Alaina's wedding party, her not-so-little sister Hailie Jade, 27, served as maid of honor, and she also has reason to celebrate this year. In February, Hailie got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Evan McClintock.
She shared the moment on her Instagram with the caption, "Casual weekend recap… 2.4.23. I love you @evanmcclintock11."
And to that, all I have to say is, "Wait, Eminem is 50 now?!"
