Miley Cyrus – Malibu
What can I say? This is a really beautiful song. It is an older, more mature Miley and it shows. The acoustic guitar brings this song down to a grass roots feel and away from those crazy club beats and drops typical of a Miley Cyrus single. It’s a simple, melodic piece of music with great harmonies and musical accompaniment. It reminds me a bit of Lana Del Rey in the way the lyrics are delivered with an emotionally powerful, but yet soft-spoken voice. The video does its job of keeping with the simplicity of the music. It is Miley Cyrus running around on a beach, carefree and what seems without any problems. This is a very deep and meaningful song, surprising coming from Miley Cyrus, but if she keeps this up she will definitely be back on my personal playlist.
