Space Monkey Coffee

This neighborhood coffee shop is quite a bit smaller than most on this list. But walk through its doors, and you'll instantly be charmed by a quaint and quiet study space reminiscent of a European cafe. The drink flavors are out of this world (especially the seasonal ones), and their food is very well priced. They have decent options for people with dietary restrictions as well, and the staff is super friendly. Space Monkey's address is 5511 SE 72nd Ave. Portland, OR 97206. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

East Portland Coffee Roasters is an ideal study spot for night owls! The shop is open until midnight and has a fairly extensive food and drink menu to get you through your study session. This cafe provides a large seating area filled with tables, squishy arm chairs, and worn couches. There's also bar seating along the windows, which makes it a perfect spot for individual studying and people watching. (This place is usually bustling, and the music may be noisy, so bring headphones if you're distracted easily.) BiPar offers an extensive menu, but the specialty treats here are their incredible pies! So if you're looking to indulge in a slice of flaky-crusted goodness while you study pi, head over to 7901 SE Stark St. Portland, OR 97215. Campus Spots

Many students say they genuinely prefer to study on campus! And with our beloved Roger's Cafe, many feel they have all they need in terms of refreshments. A lot of students prefer to grab their favorite drink (read about students' favorite Roger's drinks here!) and then retreat to their favorite cozy spot: Some love the library basement, some prefer staying in Roger's, and others stick to their dorm rooms. During the warmer months, many students love using the picnic tables around campus to bask in the warmth while they study. So for people who don't feel like venturing very far, our campus still offers plenty of study spaces to get your work done!

Jim & Patty's Coffee People

Jim & Patty's Coffee People has a large seating area, perfect for group studying or the introvert who likes to ensure they have plenty of personal space around them. They offer some delicious espresso options, but their sour cream coffee cake is what takes the cake here! And if you need another mouth-watering treat while you study for your exam, try the marionberry coffee cake. You'll be happy you did. The closest Jim & Patty's is at 4951 NE Fremont St. Portland, OR 97213. Open Monday-Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
