Hey, fellow makeup users! I've been looking for a product that will effectively remove my makeup at the end of each day, and won't make me invest in a 100-step post-removal skincare routine, SINCE AGES.
*drumroll* Presenting to you, the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water! I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I can tell you that it's absolutely BOMB. It completely removes makeup, dirt, dust and is superb for your skin! The cleansing water doesn't contain any sulfates or parabens, thus making it super-safe and gentle. And the best part you ask? It doesn't even hurt your eyes. YUP.
You can get it in two variants depending on your skin type - the plain micellar cleansing water (₹114) or the micellar oil-infused cleansing water (₹146).
Essentially, what you have to do when you use the cleansing water is shake the bottle for a bit, squeeze it and absorb the foam with a cotton pad.
Let's have a look at how it works on different makeup products!
1. LIPSTICKS: I'm using 3 different types of lipsticks - creamy, liquid, and higher intensity liquid.
The cleansing water works amazingly well on creamy and liquid lipsticks, it takes off the product in just one swipe (though extremely dark shades MAY need a second swipe).
2. FOUNDATION: I used the Maybelline New York Fit Me foundation in the shade Toffee (330). You can get it on Amazon for ₹374.
These are the before-and-after photos! The micellar water cleaned off the foundation swatch in just one swipe, yet again.
3. You might be wondering whether this stuff works on kajal and eyeliners, eh? Wellllll, IT DOES!!

4. Next up, eye shadow! I used two shades - Wet n Wild Eye Shadow Karma (₹114), and Wet n Wild Eye Shadow Mesmerized.
Now, the review! The micellar cleansing water cleaned up the pigmentation of both the shades, but struggled with the glitter TBH. Took about 3-4 swipes for my wrist to be glitter-free.
Okay, y'all. It's time for the final verdict. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is probably the BEST makeup removing product that you can possibly find at this price range, I mean, it's just for ₹114!
It does take a bit of time on stubborn shades and glitter, but ultimately does its job. You should definitely buy.
