13 Unwritten Rules Of Posse Membership
Knowledge you need for rollin' mad deep. See it all in effect during Season 2 of Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family, tomorrow at 11:30/10:30c on MTV2.
1. Know thy leader.
Be familiar with their moods, their needs, their habits.
2. Be prepared to entertain.
You never know when the leader or the posse will get bored.
3. Know thy role and be good at it.

Whether you're the DJ or the barber or the gopher or the publicist, do the one thing you're there to do, and do it well.
4. Know how to improvise.
Even though you have a role, you could be asked to do anything: pass a demo to your leader, try to find a box of Cubans, sort out all the red M&Ms, anything.
5. Be a reliable wingperson.
The power of the posse also means gathering more cool people for your leader to hang out with whenever you're out.
6. Up thy bodyguard skills.

People are gonna bum rush the show, so make sure they aren't attacking.
7. Perfect thy photography game.
When people ask for a picture and the boss okays it, you're about to take the one shot they'll get.
8. Offer honest critiques.
When the boss asks for your thoughts, they're not looking for a yes-man.
9. Be responsible.
You're going to have to carry everything from the boss' cash to their luggage as well as maintain the team's schedule.
10. Carry thy weight.

In addition to carrying stuff for the boss, you need to be able to take care of yourself and your stuff.
11. Pack for everything.

On any given journey, you could be hiking outdoors to walking the red carpet.
12. Be comfortable with being spotlight-adjacent.

That red carpet's for the posse leader, not posse members.
13. Read up on law.
Or at least stay in touch with the posse's lawyer, because you don't know what's going to come in handy everywhere from the airport to Amsterdam.
