You've Been Singing "Heigh-Ho" From "Snow White" Wrong This Whole Time

A correction has been added to this post.

At one time or another, you've seen the Disney masterpiece Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

And you're more than likely familiar with the song "Heigh-Ho," which the dwarfs sing and whistle while they work.

But you've probably been singing it wrong your whole life.

We all think it goes, "Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work we go..."

Heigh-Ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work we go.

    Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, It's off to work we go [Whistle] ♬ Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho Heigh-ho [Chorus] ♪ ♫ On a Sunday. BAH. :p

But the dwarfs actually sing, "Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's HOME FROM WORK we go."

In fact, "off to work we go" is so engrained in us, that you STILL probably think they sing it at some point in the film. Which is true. They do. Just not where you think.

CORRECTION: While the lyrics to "Heigh-Ho" don't include the words "off to work we go," the dwarfs sing it once at a later point in the movie. An earlier version of this post misstated that they never sing it. (3/18/15)
