We are New Yorker's. We walk fast, we hate tourists, we eat pizza, and we break all the street rules. and no, upstate New York is not part of New York.

1. We do not go downtown everyday

Everyone who is not from New York City, think that those who DO live in NYC live downtown near 42nd and such. No. most of us live uptown. NOT IN 42ND !

2. Yes, WE ARE SENSITIVE TO SNOW

We HATE the snow, whether we get an inch or a foot, WE HATE THE SNOW. And Yes, we shut everything down when we expect more than inches of snow, just what we do.

3. Do we drive in NYC ? Yes. Bad idea though

We have horrible parking that lead to parking your car like this. If we have cars, we spend more time looking for parking then we do driving in one day. Yeah I know, we hate it too.

4. Timberland boots make you an official New Yorker. really, they do.

The rumors that every New Yorker owns a pair of Timbs, is true. We own at minimum one pair, and yes, we wear them as much as we can.

5. The train, is code for RUN AND CATCH IT WHILE YOU CAN!

We take the train everyday to get to work and everywhere else, and if you don't run to catch yours, you will be late. Guaranteed. There is never enough space on the train, EVER !

6. We ARE our own world, yup.

We think New York City is its own world. We do not recognize upstate New York. We have our own accent and maybe even language. Sorry, not sorry.

7. We don't go see the Christmas tree.... at all.... ever.

Everyone thinks we go downtown every year to see the Xmas tree during the Xmas times.... No. The tourists take away that luxury when they walk 0 miles per hour taking pictures of regular street lights.

We hate tourists, its a fact. They make everything slow for us on top of only knowing how to say "sorry" to everything after bumping your water,phone,life, and college degree of your hands.

9. Just about ANYTHING, can happen on the train....

The train is suppose to be a ride to work and other places...... for New Yorkers its just about a home, a room, a kitchen, a bathroom.... ANYTHING.

10. We live in boxes... not but really, we do.

11. We take pride in our pizza.

12. WE HATE THE MTA

Yes, we use the MTA, Metropolitan Transportation System everyday, but we hate it more than we hate snow. Its always slow, its always delayed, and someone is always covering a perfectly OKAY seat.

13. We do not follow the street signs, or any signs.

We cross with the buses, with the taxi's, we just cross. If the light is red, it means go, if it's white, it also means go. We don't care, we just go. We are always on the run, so move out of the way, thank you.
