Wineries and breweries in Loudoun County have been booming in the past few years. With 44 wineries and 31 breweries to visit, there is an abundant of places for those of age to try local beer and wine. Catoctin Creek Distillery is ranked number 1 for food and drink on trip advisor. This distillery in Purcellville was the first legal one in Loudoun County since Prohibition. Using organic produce they distillery is definitely one for the bucket list.

From major highways to back roads Loudoun County has it all. Head out west and expect to be slowed down by a tractor or two. Drive east and don’t be surprised if you see a fender bender or a slow down for no apparent reason. The average commute time for the Loudoun County worker is 32 minutes, which is 7 minutes longer than the national average. The close proximity to the District of Columbia gives the workers of the county amazing employment opportunities, but some residents have a commute of 90 minutes or more due to the abundance of people heading into the city during rush hours.

Ashburn is known as “Data Center Alley” because it is the Nation’s capital for Data Centers. According to Loudoun Economic Development Plan 70% of the worlds internet traffic runs through Loudoun’s Data Centers in more than 75 centers. On the flip side, the county has a thriving horse population. Loudoun County has the most horses than any other county in Virginia. Many Olympic riders live and train in the county. With over 10 farms there are plenty of places to ride or view horses.

Sports bars flood the county as we support all of the Nations Capitals teams. For the younger ones there are plenty of arcades and game zones that can host any event for any age!
